K-N-O-C-K-O-U-T is both a mesmerizing musical instrument  and a place for conversation. The work has five sound areas, which are tuned to create an individual series of sounds that harmonize with the other players’ performances. Each player can communicate with his or her own unique rhythm.

It is important that K-N-O-C-K-O-U-T  is used both as a table for conversation and food and as a musical instrument. It is a work that explores new forms of both individual and social communication. To actually hear the work is the only way to describe its haunting rhythm.
